- I am originally from Somerset and my husband Jim is from York, we have been married for 30 years in November and we finally moved to live in Spain in March 2008, having had a house in Lliber since 2004. We have a son, Bill, who works in Saudi Arabia and a little Jack Russell called Holly.
I am supposed to be retired but am one of these people who always have to keep going. In the past I have been a nurse, social worker, community care organiser, office administrator and manager of an Modular MBA training section at Henley Management College.
I have always been a great believer in alternative & complimentary therapies, so when I took early retirement 7 years ago I expanded my little part-time business selling magnetic products. I now do this whenever possible via trade shows, advertising, word of mouth and the Intenet.
In addition to magnets I now also sell Collagen capsules, chemical free and organic cosmetics, and other associated health products. I get a real buzz meeting new people at shows and finding that they have had positive results from using the products I sell.
I love the area of Spain we have chosen to make home and am looking forward to settling down, making new friends and enjoying the Spanish way of life. The stresses of living in the UK are fast becoming a distant memory.
- Favourite Exercise
- I love horse riding having started at 8 years old. I have had my own horses over the years and competed at riding club level in various types of competition. Since moving to Spain I have been offered two horses to help exercise and am looking forward to starting that. I really enjoy swimming in the sea, the bouyancy and freedom is so much better than in a pool.
- Favorite Healthy Foods
- I really like all fresh fruit, salads and veg and adore fresh raspberries. Fresh fish cooked on the barbie is delicious and I also love wholemeal bread, especially fresh baked with seeds on top, trouble is I like butter on it too. Can't be good all the time!
